Montesquieu believed that the government should be separated into three branches. The three branches would be legislative, executive, and judicial. Legislative would create and change laws, executive would enforce laws, and judicial would punish criminals and settle disagreements between two individuals.

Attack 2 : Monarchy
Montesquieu challenges the idea of a monarchy. Montesquieu believed power should be shared instead of just one person ruling which is a monarchy.
