Flip a coin. If heads, Glover will transform the opponent into a random Pokemon. If tails, the ball will transform instead into 3 different forms: Bowling Ball, Ball Bearing, and Crystal. Bowling Ball does more damage, Ball Bearing will paralyze the opponent, and Crystal will absorb damage from the opponent and give Glover more health.
