John Locke believed that the rights of all men were the rights of life, liberty and property. If anyone takes away your natural rights you can rebel against them even if they are the government.

Locke thought that if you do not agree with the government or the system you are living under you have the right to protest it. People should have a voice and be able to use it without persecution from the government.
