Comments : A fiend born of pyreflies that have fused with water. Its gelatinous body renders physical attacks useless and its ability to change the element it absorbs is just plain wrong."Protean Gel is an enemy in Final Fantasy X-2. These powerful fiends are capable of wielding potent magic and can use physical attacks that deal significant damage to a character. The best way to combat these creatures is either by examining their elemental weakness with the Gun Mage's Scan and using the appropriate spells or by having one of the girls use the Dark Knight Dressphere and cast Darkness. Protean Gel is immune to physical damage, and can change its elemental properties at will. They are most commonly found in the Calm Lands after Chapter 2, but can be found at Via Infinito in Bevelle.
