Narcissus was desired by everyone, but too proud to show affection. One rejection came from lover Echo. Many of his rejections were not taken lightly, one was a complaint to god of vengeance, Nemesis. The suitor asked Nemesis to make Narcissus fall in love with himself, but not be able to accept it. One day, Narcissus saw his reflection in the water and simultaneously fell in love. He tried to kiss it, but he could not. He thought life was not worth living if he could not embrace him self. Left in his place, a flower.
