Scott Carey lives in a small town named Castle Rock. He is introduced to an issue at the start of the story, He's Losing weight, and fast. He is not changing in size but just losing weight, he was 240 pounds before he started losing the weight and now he is only at 150. What makes this so weird is that Scott is not getting any shorter or slimmer so he still looks like a big 240 pound man but really only weighs 150.
