Hernan Cortes was born in 1485 and died in 1547. He had two children and is best known for his Journey to Mexico.

Attack 2 : Expedition
He left in 1519 to Mexico. The governor of Cuba thought there was more land to the west so he sent Cortes to explore. Cortes arrived in Mexico and met the Aztec civilization. His army defeated the Aztecs and he claimed their land. The biggest effect from this was the Aztec empire fell and Spain claimed new land.
